Connect City College, in partnership with Alphacrucis University College, offers an accredited Certificate IV in Ministry & Discipleship to deepen your faith and equip you with practical ministry skills, including Christian doctrine, biblical application, and leadership development.

Building Leaders

Students complete eight subjects over two years, with online lectures from Alphacrucis University College. Each week includes video lectures, assessments, and discussions with ordained pastors. Subjects include the Bible, Discipleship, Leadership, Teamwork, and Pastoral Care.

To successfully complete the course, you will have completed the following core units and 2 electives:

Connect City College is open to any church member who has actively been attending Connect City Church for over one year and have received a referral from at least one pastor. Connect City College is a part of leadership development within Connect City Church.
There are no formal prerequisites for the course, aside from proficiency in written and spoken English. However, it’s recommended that you actively participate in some form of Christian ministry to support your coursework and assignments.
Studying this course will deepen your faith, enhance your understanding of Christian doctrine, and equip you with practical skills for ministry leadership and discipleship, preparing you for impactful roles within your church community. If you are seeking a future in ordained ministry, this course is an essential prerequisite to become an ordained minister.
For full-time students, the course is designed to be completed in 1 year, with 4 classes per term. For part-time students, the course extends over 2 years, with 2 classes per term. We will advise of the exact dates upon enrolement.
Intakes happen in Term 1 (late January) and Term 3 (last July) with classes running in line with the Victorian School Terms.  
As partners with Alphacrucis, students receive a 50% discount on the full course cost, paying $380 per subject or $3,040 for the entire Certificate IV in Ministry and Discipleship. Fees are paid per subject or as a lump sum upon enrolment. Please expect a slight increase in fees for 2025 due to rising costs.
Yes, each class will have assessments that must be completed to pass each subject successfully.
